Strange place without many tourist amenities, and nothing I could find that is actually at the beach. All restaurants and bars I could find sit either in town or in the a mall. This is probably due to the original development of residential properties directly on the beack, not leaving space for businesses. But perhap a though for the future to put up some kiosks along the beach areas?

The shops and restaurants and take away shops are 2 mins away, you don't need to drive. Building is clean, except for cockroaches in the apartment. Sea view was spectacular, except you cannot swim in the ocean, you need to drive to main beach and we didn't find life guards probably because it was out of season.

This is a wonderful part of Durban!
This is a wonderful part of Durban!
Beautiful coast line with markets and hawkers along the foreshore.
Shopping close by and an easy drive into Durban
The are was very quiet and loved seeing the monkeys roaming around.
We spent most of our time in Durban which is unapologetically raw and chaotic so it was great to have a quiet place to retreat to.
It has a lovely village feel and you can get most of what you want/need from the near by supermarkets.

Great town with fantastic bars pubs and restaurants all with their own special traits, the town is unfortunately not the best as some areas are really run down and neglected, but the beaches were clean, sea was swimable.
I like the cleanliness, aircon, it was nice and cozy like I was at home. It had everything in the kitchen to make a meal. Spacious shower. Walking distance from restaurants, mall, and the beach. Also the friendly residents in the complex. The room was bigger than I expected. Everything was less than 10 min away even the bigger mall ghaleria mall. Enjoyed the walk on the beach and just relaxing there.
We loved the location right on the beach. Eunice went out of her way to accommodate us. We drove down from JHB and the N3 was blocked because of an accident. We kept in contact and she organised that we collect the keys from her postbox. Gave us direction for everything and made sure we had arrived safely
I always like to stay in Stella Maris as it's quiet and close to the beach.
The flat was neat and we had a lovely stay - the only thing I can suggest and please its just from my side, is that the flat perhaps get one or 2 fans - just for that extra hot days
It was something different because we used to staying on the beach but it was a good experience.
Friendly help from the Gugu and the other guy who worked at night. Candles was given because of the power failure.
The room met beyond our expectations. It was clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. Sunset was awesome, it really keeps up to it's name THE VIEW Boutique Hotel. I will go back to enjoy the place again!
There is a nice little restaurant on the premises basically on the beach. However, there could have been bath towels, nobody told me to take with, i had to go buy :(
Awesome location, right on the beach. The view is beautiful, hearing the sound of the waves and that ocean breeze was priceless. The whole family really enjoyed it.
The sea view was excellent. The location was also good for business, travel to and from around north and south of Amanzimtoti. The facility clean and comfy.
The ZAR hotel was everything and more ! Exceeded my expectations. My partner and I loved the place. Can’t wait to come back when everything has been set up.
Everything was perfect what I like the most it was the view wow , I really enjoyed my stay , the hotel it's very big we had enough space and it's was clean
I liked the fact that the Toti Mall was nearby. Also nice to walk on the beach and do not have to cross a street. Car was underneath building and safe.
